Are people taking IT Compliance seriously yet?
On the 23rd March 2015 a report on Government Cyber Security was released by HM Government and Marsh, one of the UK’s leading insurance brokers and risk advisers, and it contained some alarming statistics…
“Last year 81% of large UK businesses and 60% of small companies suffered a cyber security breach”
“Cyber threats are estimated to cost the UK economy billions of pounds each year with the cost of cyber attacks nearly doubling between 2013 and 2014. “
So – its been 6 months or so since this news was released for general consumption and its time to ask the question “How are we doing?” or more importantly “What are YOU doing?”
We know at Halcyon Solutions Group that one government department has taken a huge step to combat the threat from Cyber Security by adopting Halcyon ONE and many others are set to jump on the bandwagon. Are organizations, both Public and Private, really doing enough to protect themselves from the ever increasing threat of attack?
